A 33-year-old man was killed after officials said a Pittsburgh Regional Transit bus and a dirt bike collided in Pittsburgh’s Homewood neighborhood Saturday evening.
A spokesperson for PRT confirmed to Pittsburgh’s Action News 4 that at 5:55 p.m., crews were called to a fatal crash at the intersection of Brushton and Frankstown avenues.
Preliminary information states that an 86-Liberty bus was traveling through the intersection when it was involved in a crash with a dirt bike.

The operator of the dirt bike was pronounced dead on the scene. He was later identified as Deshawn Davis, 33, of Pittsburgh.
Pittsburgh’s Action News 4 reporter Felicity Taylor spoke to a mother and son who saw the crash from their food truck, which was parked on Frankstown.
“He was riding his bike, and the bus was, like, already crossing the road. And he just went straight into it,” Chandler Thomas, 12, said.
“Riding these motorbikes, you really need to be careful. Everyone needs to be careful, whether you’re driving a car or whatever. But I guess the bus was already through the light,” Tracy Hall said.
Port Authority police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
This is a developing story.
