GREEN BAY, Wis. — Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur is expected to meet with reporters Tuesday as there are still many questions surrounding running back Josh Jacobs and his status with the team in the midst of offseason organized team activities.
He was released from jail last week as the Brown County District Attorney’s Office requests further investigation into allegations of domestic abuse against Jacobs.
Jacobs was arrested after Hobart-Lawrence police responded to a disturbance around 8:30a.m. May 23, according to a press release. Charges of battery, criminal damage to property, disorderly conduct, strangulation, and intimidation of a victim were referred by police to the DA’s office.
A final charging decision will be made by the DA’s office at a later date.
Jacobs’ attorneys released a statement on his behalf May 26, saying the running back “vehemently denies the allegations.”
