OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – Two shooting victims were found in separate areas of north Omaha early Saturday morning.
Omaha police responded to reports of shots fired near 24th and Lake streets just before 3:30 a.m. Officers found an adult woman suffering from at least one gunshot wound. She was taken to the hospital with life-saving measures in progress.
Police blocked several streets in the area.
Lt. Chuck Casey said there was a large gathering in the area when officers arrived. Police are trying to find out what happened and urge anyone with information to call them.
Around the same time and several blocks away, another shooting victim was found near Florence Boulevard and Lake Street. That person was rushed to the hospital with critical injuries.
Police have not said if the two shootings are related.
