TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) – Two new wildfires ignited Sunday night in the Catalina Mountains.
According to the Coronado National Forest, one fire started in Pima Canyon and the other in Ventana Canyon. Fire officials say both fires are believed to lightning-caused.
The Table Mountain Fire is burning in Pima Canyon. The Coronado National Forest says it is currently estimated at 3 acres. The other fire is the Ventana Fire located on the southeastern side of Mount Kimball.
Rain fell in the area Sunday night. Fire crews are monitoring both fires.
