The horror genre is alive and well at the moment with Curry Barker’s Obsession making a killing in theaters and Kane Parsons’ Backrooms expected to do the same this coming weekend. But there’s also a ton of new indie horror sandwiched in between those two big time theatrical releases. In fact, FIVE new horror movies were just released in YOUR home today.
Here’s all the new horror that released on Tuesday, May 26, 2026!

When some people say “best friends forever,” they really mean it. Not even death can keep Olivia and Aurora apart in My Best Friend’s Dead, now available on Digital today.
Produced by Traverse Terror (Antibirth, The Jester 2), Bruce Wemple (The Hangman, Dawn of the Beast) directs from a script by frequent collaborator Anna Shields.
In a remote New England town, a sweet young woman has closed herself off to the outside world since the tragic murder of her best friend.
When she tries to bring her soulmate back from the dead, the demon she has created follows her out into the real world and turns the quiet borough into a terrifying hellscape.
Caitlin Duffy stars with Shields, Grant Schumacher, and Catharine Daddario.


Jason Segel (“Shrinking”) and Samara Weaving (Ready or Not 2) keep their relationship as fresh as an open wound in Over Your Dead Body, now available on Digital.
In the remake of the 2021 Norwegian film The Trip, Segel and Weaving play a couple who head to a remote cabin to supposedly reconnect, but each has secret plans to kill the other.
The Lonely Island’s Jorma Taccone (Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping, MacGruber) directs from a script by fellow “SNL” alumni Nick Kocher and Brian McElhaney.
Timothy Olyphant (“Alien: Earth”), Paul Guilfoyle (“CSI: Crime Scene Investigation”), Keith Jardine (Love Lies Bleeding), and Juliette Lewis (“Yellowjackets”) also star.

A woman must prevent a simulated terrorist attack to prove her loyalty in the British time loop thriller Voidance. The film is now available on Digital outlets in the United States.
The film follows Alana Toro as she faces her final assessment to become an elite ATIC agent. Inside a simulated space station bar, she must prevent a terrorist attack before it happens. Each failed attempt allows her to restart the scenario, but with limited chances to get it right.
As Alana navigates a cast of guarded and unpredictable patrons, gaining trust proves as difficult as identifying the threat itself. With each attempt, new details emerge and assumptions shift, forcing her to rethink who she can rely on. As the pressure builds, Alana is pushed towards an unorthodox solution — one that may challenge everything expected of her.

Described as a found footage cosmic horror movie, the independent feature Tribe from director Dan Asma was released onto digital outlets at home beginning today.
The film “blends psychological terror, cult horror and cosmic dread as a retired lecturer investigates the mysterious death of a friend and uncovers something far more disturbing.”
In Tribe, a retired university lecturer named Devin Adams is documenting the symptoms of a strange illness as he spirals into paranoia and fractured memory.
As he revisits old videotapes, he begins piecing together the events that led him into a nightmare involving conspiracies, ancient creatures and cataclysmic cosmic horrors.


Described as a “sexy, bloody slasher” starring real-life porn stars, the attention-grabbing queer horror movie Blowie was released on digital outlets today from Dark Star Pictures.
The film follows a group of sex workers who rent a remote mansion to shoot OnlyFans content…until a tragic accident unleashes Blowie: a doll-faced killer with a thirst for vengeance.
Bishop Black, Kali Sudhra, Kayden Gray, and Gabriel Cross star.
Blowie is written by altSHIFT, and directed by Ed Aldridge, altSHIFT and Sam Lidbetter.

Rocky Horror Picture Show fans are in for a treat next month, as Linus O’Brien (son of Richard O’Brien, actor behind Riff Raff and creator of both the film and the original musical) is finally releasing his critically-acclaimed documentary about the history and legacy of the legendary production.
Featuring never-before-seen archival footage and in-depth interviews with major players like Susan Sarandon (Janet Weiss) and Tim Curry (Dr. Frank-N-Furter) alongside hardcore fans like Jack Black and Trixie Mattel, Strange Journey: The Story of Rocky Horror will be available for rental and digital purchase on Apple TV, Prime Video, and Fandango at Home starting June 2.
