Farmington, N.Y. — An eastbound portion of the New York State Thruway in Ontario County shut down following a crash Friday morning.
The crash happened around 5:30 a.m. between Exit 44 in Farmington and Exit 43 in Manchester.
New York State Police said the crash involved three tractor-trailers, with one driver taken to Strong Memorial Hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Eastbound traffic was being diverted at Exit 44. The diversion was causing a lengthy backup on Route 96 between Farmington and Manchester.
Police said heavy tows were on scene removing the damaged vehicles, as recovery and cleanup efforts continued.
No further information about the crash has been released. This is a developing story.
