There has been plenty of content for Marvel fans to dive into since the MCU switched lanes in 2019 after Avengers: Endgame and Spider-Man: Far From Home. While there was once only two Marvel movies to watch every year at most, it’s now more common to see three movies and three or four shows — many fans would argue that this trend has taken the spark out of the MCU that it had in 2019. There have already been three MCU projects in 2026, beginning with Wonder Man, the critically acclaimed show starring Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and Ben Kingsley. The series followed closely by Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 (starring Charlie Cox), which tied into The Punisher: One Last Kill, the Special Presentation starring Jon Bernthal. The MCU has a pair of feature films coming this year as well.
Marvel’s first big-screen movie of 2026 releases at the end of July with Spider-Man: Brand New Day, which will mark the fourth time that Tom Holland has suited up as Peter Parker in a solo movie. The film also features two long-time Marvel veterans around Holland, Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner and Jon Bernthal as Punisher, and while not yet confirmed, it’s heavily speculated that there will be a big fight scene between Spider-Man and Savage Hulk at some point in the film. Fans have been waiting on pins and needles for more details about Spider-Man: Brand New Day, and it was revealed late Sunday night via the AMC official website that the film has a runtime of two hours and thirty minutes. This makes it the longest Spider-Man film in history, even longer than the 2021 event film, Spider-Man: No Way Home.
Based on your answers, the Marvel hero who matches your spirit, values, and instincts has been revealed.
You carry the weight of the world on shoulders that are younger than they should have to be — funny, loyal, and endlessly self-sacrificing.
You fight in the shadows between law and chaos, guided by a fierce moral compass that refuses to let the guilty walk free.
Brilliant, driven, and occasionally insufferable — but always the person who solves the unsolvable problem.
You’ve been through fire that would break most people — and it did change you, completely. What’s left is unyielding, relentless, and operating by a code forged in grief.
Powerful, proud, and on a lifelong journey to become worthy of the legend you carry.
You believe in something bigger than yourself — and you fight for it even when the world has moved on and nobody else will.
Additional cast members for Spider-Man 4 beyond Holland, Ruffalo, and Bernthal include both Zendaya and Jacob Batalon as MJ and Ned, Peter’s long-time best friends who no longer remember him after Doctor Strange’s spell. Stranger Things icon Sadie Sink will also make her MCU debut in an undisclosed role, and while it’s speculated that she will play the famous mutant Jean Grey, this has yet to be confirmed. Severance’s Tramell Tillman will also feature in Brand New Day as a Damage Control agent, and Michael Mando will finally suit up as Scorpion.
Stay tuned to Collider for more updates and coverage of Spider-Man: Brand New Day, which swings into theaters around the world on July 31.
