A planned water outage Monday afternoon will affect residents and businesses in south Marshall, city officials said.
Water will be shut off in the area of U.S. 59 South and Texas 43 (Pinecrest Drive). This includes the Scenic Loop area between Pinecrest Drive and Bell Street.
The outage is expected to last from 4 to 10 p.m., and a boil water notice has been issued for the area.
Water will be shut off to allow contractors to tie into a newly repaired 16-inch water line that runs underneath Texas 59 South and Pinecrest Drive.
“We appreciate your patience as work is being completed in this area to stabilize critical water infrastructure,” city officials said.
