Police were investigating a death at a pond in Grantham on Friday.
Grantham police said a person was found dead in Eastman Pond with a capsized canoe.
Police arrived at the boat launch just before 8 a.m. Friday after receiving a call about an overturned boat with a possible body inside.
Multiple agencies, including Marine Patrol and Fish and Game, were called to the scene and stayed well into the afternoon.
Police are not releasing any information about the victim, saying it is an active death investigation.
The boat launch was closed while police investigated, but it was back open Friday evening.
Anyone with information was asked to call Grantham police.
