The Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor led Peddi has taken a slow start in Hindi, and will rely heavily on the trend over the coming three days. According to early estimates, the Sukumar production has collected in the range of Rs. 2.75 crore to Rs. 3.25 crore, which is in sync with the pre-release expectations.
The start is slow, and the business needs to pick up massively over the conventional three-day weekend starting from tomorrow for it to have a shot theatrically in Hindi. The film faces competition from Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai and Bandar from Friday, and the showcasing too will be hit.
Saturday and Sunday biz will give us an idea about the lifetime collections of Peddi in Hindi. Meanwhile, the Buchi Babu directorial has started with a bang in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The film is poised to emerge as a big success story in the Southern part of the country, but it’s a wait-and-watch scenario in the Northern belts.
The start is lower than Charan’s last film, Game Changer, though the reports are somewhat better.
