A new NFL report surrounding the Kansas City Chiefs was seemingly good news for the Pittsburgh Steelers, as it may have offered the team a potential offensive tackle trade target. That was until the Atlanta Falcons swooped in and apparently made an offer Kansas City couldn’t refuse.
Despite multiple teams showing interest, ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reported that the Chiefs traded offensive tackle Wanya Morris to the Atlanta Falcons.
Morris, selected by the Chiefs with the 92nd overall pick in the third round of the 2023 NFL Draft, has appeared in 43 games and made 16 starts.
At worst, Morris would have offered the Steelers vital offensive tackle depth, while also competing with Dylan Cook for the starting right tackle position as Broderick Jones recovers from his neck injury and first-round rookie Max Iheanachor gets up to NFL speed. But the Steelers will have to stay put with their current offensive tackle depth after the Falcons landed Morris.
