A man has died after a motorcycle crash in Derry on Sunday night, according to the Derry Police Department.
Police say emergency personnel responded to Island Pond Road for a report of a serious motor vehicle collision just before 5:30 p.m.
First responders initiated life-saving measures on the driver, who succumbed to his injuries.
Officials identified the driver of the motorcycle as Christopher Chick, 61, of Derry.
The Derry Police Department Accident Reconstruction Team responded to the scene and is actively investigating the crash. As a result, Island Pond Road was closed for several hours. It has since been reopened.
The investigation remains ongoing.
