A former Triad teacher has been charged with indecent liberties with a student, according to officers with the Greensboro Police Department.
Officers said they arrested Joseph Savoy, 34, on Wednesday. He has been charged with six counts of indecent liberties with a student.
Officers said the incidents involved several students.
Officers said they first heard about the allegations against Savoy in 2025, which led to an investigation. Savoy was employed as a teacher at Smith High School in Greensboro.
Savoy is being held at the Guilford County Jail without bond. He is due in court on Thursday.
