A dispute over just Rs 150 allegedly turned into a fatal attack in Delhi’s Tilak Nagar, where a 22-year-old man lost his life after being stabbed multiple times. Delhi Police said it solved the blind murder case within hours of the incident and apprehended three juveniles allegedly involved in the killing.
Police said the breakthrough came through prompt investigation, CCTV footage analysis and local intelligence inputs.

According to Delhi Police, a PCR call was received at Tilak Nagar Police Station on June 22 through Daily Diary Number 10A regarding a stabbing incident.

The caller informed police that her brother had been stabbed on his thigh and back and was taken to DDU Hospital in critical condition due to excessive bleeding.
The call was assigned to Sub Inspector Mohit Kumar for necessary action.
A police team reached the crime spot and found bloodstains at the location. The injured man was identified as Paras, who had suffered three stab wounds, two on his left thigh and one on his back. However, Paras later succumbed to his injuries.
Following the death, FIR No. 244/2026 under Sections 103(1) and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) was registered at Tilak Nagar Police Station.
A special team led by Inspector Binnet Kumar Pandey and SI Mohit Kumar was formed under the supervision of senior district officers to investigate the case.
During the probe, police recorded the statement of the deceased’s sister, who said she found her brother injured and unconscious near their residence and had no information about the attackers.
The investigating team examined CCTV footage from the area and gathered local intelligence. After sustained efforts, three juveniles identified as ‘V’, ‘R’, and ‘P’ were traced and apprehended from a local park near B-Block, Chowkhandi, Tilak Nagar.
During interrogation, the juveniles allegedly disclosed that around 40 to 45 days ago, Paras had taken Rs 150 from one of them and refused to return it.
Police said that on the intervening night of June 21 and 22, the juveniles confronted Paras over the dispute, following which an altercation took place and Paras fled.
However, at around 12:15 am, the juveniles allegedly found him again, caught hold of him and attacked him.
Police alleged that juvenile ‘V’ stabbed Paras multiple times with a knife, leading to fatal injuries.
The three juveniles were produced before the Juvenile Justice Board and later sent to protective custody. Further investigation into the case is underway.
