Ayukriyam Innovations Partners with TDB to Develop AI-powered Whole Side Imaging System – Digital Health News

The Autoscope system is designed to combine automated microscopy with artificial intelligence to enable standardized and scalable diagnostic workflows.
The Technology Development Board (TDB), under the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, has signed an agreement with Ayukriyam Innovations to extend its support towards the project, “Autoscope: A Fully Automated Whole Slide Imaging and AI-Driven Diagnostic System.”
The initiative seeks to develop an AI-powered whole slide imaging diagnostic system to strengthen pathology infrastructure and enable faster, more accurate disease diagnosis
The Autoscope system is designed to combine automated microscopy with artificial intelligence to enable standardized and scalable diagnostic workflows. By automating the slide scanning and analysis, the platform is expected to improve diagnostic efficiency while reducing manual intervention.
The platform also seeks to address gaps in pathology infrastructure by enhancing efficiency, improving diagnostic accuracy, and accessibility of diagnostic services.
By leveraging indigenous R&D and AI-enabled image analytics, the AI tool aims to reduce dependence on imported high-end imaging systems while supporting the growth of indigenous developed medical innovations.
Under the agreement, TDB will extend support to set up a dedicated manufacturing facility, produce multiple product batches, and conduct comprehensive field performance evaluations.
The project is expected to facilitate the commercialization of an indigenously developed deep-tech platform, strengthen India’s diagnostic ecosystem, and contribute to affordable and accessible healthcare solutions.
Commenting on the initiative, Shri Rajesh Kumar Pathak, Secretary, TDB, stated, “Indigenous development of advanced diagnostic platforms integrating imaging and artificial intelligence is vital for strengthening India’s healthcare infrastructure. Through this support, TDB aims to accelerate the translation of laboratory innovation into market-ready solutions, reduce import dependence, and promote Aatmanirbhar Bharat in the medical technology sector.”
