Audible Theater and TOGETHER, the theatrical partnership led by Sonia Friedman and Hugh Jackman, have revealed release dates for the Audible Original captures of two of their spring repertory productions. This spring’s season, the second staged in collaboration between Audible Theater and TOGETHER, brough three different plays to the Minetta Lane Theatre, all directed by Ian Rickson.
The first major revival of Tom Noonan’s What Happened Was… with Corey Stoll and Cecily Strong played its final performance June 14. What Happened Was… will be released globally as an Audible Original October 29.
Ella Hickson’s New Born, featuring three monologues performed by Marianna Gailus, Hugh Jackman, and Sepideh Moafi, wrapped its run June 8. The play originated from a joint commission by Sonia Friedman Productions and Audible Theater. New Born will be released globally as an Audible Original January 28, 2027.
