8 new Paramount+ shows and movies streaming in June – How-To Geek

As summer arrives, Paramount+ is turning up the heat with a spunky lineup of new content and returning shows blending true-crime intrigue, espionage thrills, character-driven storytelling, and action-packed entertainment. It’s also time for Tony Awards.
While June’s options are plentiful, our top pick is the new season of The Agency, followed closely by a shocking cult documentary with loose ties to The Handmaid’s Tale.
A Paramount+ original documentary, Topuria Matador focuses on part of Ilia Topuria’s still-undefeated fighting career, just in time for his headlining bout against Justin Gaethje for the unified lightweight throne on June 14. The film will cover two of Topuria’s major fights.
The spotlight shines first on his match with Josh Emmett, which marked only the second time Topuria had gone the distance as a professional. After beating Emmett, “El Matador” claimed a featherweight title shot and cashed it by knocking Alexander Volkanovski clean out, which is what the documentary will lead to as it progresses. Expect to see grizzly details of the fighting process, including brutal training sessions and weight cuts. Some of Topuria’s opponents also show up to discuss what he brought to the table when facing them.
Topuria Matador debuts June 1.
CBS presents The 79th Annual Tony Awards live from Radio City Music Hall in New York City. Pop music superstar and global icon P!NK will host the main show while Tony Award-winning actress Laura Benanti and Emmy and SAG-nominated actor, musician, and writer Tituss Burgess will host the pre-show.

Returning for its fifth season, All The Queen’s Men’s final narrative is one of survival and loyalty. Everyone has personal obstacles in their way, but not everyone will overcome and survive them.
The final season will see Marilyn “Madam” DeVille’s (The Real Housewives of Atlanta’s Eva Marcille) empire hanging by a thread after a shocking attack that leaves Eden in turmoil. Tyler Perry’s hit drama Ruthless is back for its sixth season, and with it comes rising tension and shifting power dynamics inside the Rakudushis compound.
As Ruth’s (The Oval’s Melissa L. Williams) influence over The Highest grows and reshapes the cult’s future from the inside out, loyalties start to crack and outside forces close in. If you’ve yet to hear about Gloriavale, brace yourself, because you’re about to know more than you probably want to hear. Paramount’s new docuseries Devotion: Obedience or Betrayal takes audiences deep into the New Zealand commune that inspired a key part of The Handmaid’s Tale—the clothing. Gloriavale’s female members wear bonnets and robes as a sign of submission.
The three-part true-crime documentary offers unprecedented access to one of the world’s most controversial religious sects that has been the subject of criminal convictions and governmental actions. For 50 years, Gloriavale has lived in isolation, bound by strict rules, until allegations of abuse and cover-ups exposed its secrets. With rare access, exclusive interviews, and decades of unseen archival footage, the docuseries will not only outline the history of the organization, including its legal and societal conflicts, but it will also speak with those who are proudly part of it.
Devotion: Obedience or Betrayal debuts June 2.
Michael Fassbender is back as covert CIA operative Martian in The Agency season two, which finds him grappling with the consequences of his traitorous choices. While season one was good, season two looks like the show is only getting better.
With an emotionally grounded approach to espionage storytelling, the second season finds character tension continuing to drive the suspense. As Martian is forced to abandon traditional agency protocol in the wake of being betrayed and compromised, he decides to go rogue to save his lover Samia (Queen & Slim’s Jodie Turner-Smith) from captivity in Sudan. Season 2 also focuses on a dangerous mole hunt within the CIA’s London Station, testing the fragile line between duty and personal loyalty.
The Agency season 2 premieres June 21 with all 10 episodes.

Beyond the brand-new releases, the streaming platform is keeping the momentum going all month long. Be sure to check out its full June lineup for more details.
