A major development has emerged in the Surya murder case in Ghaziabad, where the main accused, Asad, was killed in a police encounter. According to officials, police had been searching for him since the murder of 17-year-old Surya Pratap Chauhan. Acting on intelligence inputs, police attempted to stop Asad during a checking operation. However, he allegedly tried to flee and opened fire on the police. In the ensuing exchange of gunfire, Asad was shot and seriously injured. He was rushed to a hospital, where he later died. Reports from the encounter site showed multiple evidence markings, bloodstains, and the motorcycle allegedly used by Asad. Police stated that several rounds were fired during the operation. The murder case had sparked widespread outrage among Surya’s family and local residents, who had been demanding strict action against the accused. Surya was allegedly stabbed after being called to a gathering on Bakrid. The investigation remains ongoing as police continue to examine all aspects of the case.
