Apple’s 37th annual Worldwide Developers Conference will take place from June 8 to June 12, 2026. It will kick off with a keynote event the morning of Monday, June 8. The keynote will begin at 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time or 1:00 p.m. Eastern Time.
Like WWDC 2025, WWDC 2026 will be a hybrid event. Apple will hold WWDC primarily online, allowing developers around the world to attend sessions and meet with Apple engineers at no cost. Apple no longer does a multi-day in-person paid event, but the company does invite select developers, students, and members of the media to the Apple Park campus in Cupertino, California.
The Worldwide Developers Conference gives developers and Apple fans a first look at new versions of iOS, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS, tvOS, and visionOS. Developers can attend engineering sessions and one-on-one labs and participate in the Apple Developer Forums, all to learn how to integrate the new OS features into their apps.
WWDC 2026 will begin with a keynote event where Apple will walk through all of the new software features. This year, we’re expecting iOS 27, iPadOS 27, macOS 27, tvOS 27, watchOS 27, and visionOS 27, which are expected to have multiple new AI features.
Apple pre-records the WWDC keynote and streams it on Apple.com, the Apple Developer app, the Apple Developer website, the Apple TV, and YouTube.
Just after the keynote event, the first iteration of each software update will be provided to developers for testing purposes, so we’ll get hands-on time with the new features right away. Apple limits betas to developers for the first month or so, and then provides a public beta around the July timeframe. After several months of beta testing, the new updates will launch in September.

Software is the main focus at WWDC, and we’ve heard several rumors about what we can expect in iOS 27, iPadOS 27, and macOS 27. Apple is planning to debut the updated version of Siri in the 27 series software.

We don’t often hear much about updates beyond iOS, but some of the iOS 27 features will extend to other platforms. iPadOS 27 and macOS 27 will get many of the same improvements that re coming in iOS 27.
watchOS 27 will add new watch faces, including a variant of the Modular Ultra face. The upcoming watch face is similar to Modular Ultra, but it has a large time readout with three complications below it.
At WWDC 2025, Apple introduced iOS 26, iPadOS 26, and macOS Tahoe 26.
With WWDC 2024, Apple introduced iOS 18, iPadOS 18, macOS 15 Sequoia, and the first Apple Intelligence features.
WWDC 2023 brought our first look at the Vision Pro headset, new Mac Pro and Mac Studio machines with M2 Ultra chips, and iOS 17, macOS 14 Sonoma, tvOS 17, and watchOS 10.
At WWDC, Apple unveiled iOS 16, iPadOS 16, macOS 13 Ventura, tvOS 16, and watchOS 9, along with a new M2 MacBook Air and 13-inch MacBook Pro.
WWDC 2021 focused on software instead of hardware, with Apple introducing iOS 15, iPadOS 15, tvOS 15, macOS Monterey, and watchOS 8. Apple also introduced iCloud+, a suite of new privacy-focused features that are available for its paid iCloud plans, priced starting at $0.99 per month.
While WWDC 2020 also didn’t see the introduction of any new hardware, there were significant operating system updates across Apple’s platforms, and we also heard about Apple’s long-rumored transition from Intel processors to Apple Silicon for its Mac lineup.
At WWDC 2019, Apple debuted new versions of iOS, iPadOS (now separate from iOS!), macOS, tvOS, and watchOS, all of which have a long list of new features, plus Apple gave us a peek at the new Mac Pro and 6K Apple Display.
