From coding lessons at the age of seven to building AI products before turning 20, Pranjali Awasthi's journey has made her one of the youngest entrepreneurs in the artificial intelligence space.
Born in India, Awasthi moved to Florida in the United States with her family when she was young. Encouraged by her father, a computer engineer, she developed an early interest in programming and computer science. What began as a childhood hobby soon turned into a deeper fascination with artificial intelligence, machine learning and research.
By the age of 13, Awasthi was already gaining hands-on experience through research internships, where she worked on machine learning projects while continuing her studies. The experience exposed her to the challenges researchers often face while navigating large volumes of information and data.

Those insights eventually led her to launch Delv.AI in January 2022 when she was just 16 years old. The platform was designed to help researchers find, organise and extract relevant information from academic papers, PDFs and other online sources more efficiently. The startup later participated in a Miami-based accelerator programme and raised funding from investors including Village Global.
Delv.AI gained attention in startup circles for using artificial intelligence to simplify research workflows and reduce the time spent on repetitive tasks. Reports in 2023 valued the company at around Rs 100 crore, bringing wider attention to Awasthi's entrepreneurial journey.
Alongside building startups, Awasthi pursued a degree in Computer Science at the Georgia Institute of Technology. Her academic interests have remained closely tied to artificial intelligence and emerging technologies.
More recently, she has been working on Dash, an AI assistant platform that aims to go beyond text-based interactions and perform tasks on behalf of users. The venture reflects her continued focus on developing practical AI tools that can automate everyday work and improve productivity.
From research labs and coding projects to founding AI startups, Awasthi's career has been shaped by an early interest in technology and a focus on building tools designed to solve real-world problems.
