At the top of our binge-watch list is Faces of Death, the remake of the classic horror film featuring stars from HBO’s Euphoria and Netflix‘s Stranger Things shows.
Touch Me (Shudder Exclusive Film) – New Film Premieres Friday, July 3 (Available in the US and CA)
Two codependent best friends become addicted to the heroin-like touch of an alien narcissist who may or may not be trying to take over the world.
Directed by Addison Heimann, the film stars Olivia Taylor Dudley, Lou Taylor Pucci and Jordan Gavaris.
Faces of Death (Shudder Original Film) – New Film Premieres Friday, July 10 (Available in the US and CA)
Faces of Death continues the exploration of the original film’s infamous ‘Is it real or not?’ when a woman (Barbie Ferreira) working as a content moderator for a major video platform discovers what appears to be re-enactments of murders from the original film. In an online world where nothing can be trusted, she must determine whether the violence is fiction or unfolding in real time. Directed by Daniel Goldhaber.
Exit 8 (Shudder Exclusive Film) – New Film Premieres Friday, July 17 (Available in the US and CA)
Based on the video game, Exit 8 follows a man (Kazunari Ninomiya) trapped in an endless, sterile subway passageway as he sets out to find Exit 8. The rules of his quest are simple: do not overlook anything out of the ordinary. If you discover an anomaly, turn back immediately. If you don’t, carry on.
Then leave from Exit 8. But even a single oversight will send him back to the beginning. Will he ever reach his goal and escape this infinite corridor? Directed by Lucile Hadzihalilovic.
Saccharine (Shudder Original Film) – New Film Premieres Friday, July 24 (Available in the US, CA, and UKI)
Hana (Midori Francis) is a lovelorn medical student who becomes terrorized by a sinister force after taking part in an obscure weight-loss craze: eating human ashes. Directed by Natalie Erika James, the film also stars Danielle Macdonald and Madeleine Madden.
Nightborn (Shudder Exclusive Film) – New Film Premieres Friday, July 31
Nightborn follows Saga and her British husband Jon, who move to an isolated house deep in the forest with dreams of starting a perfect family. But as soon as their baby is born, despite the reassurance of all around her, Saga knows there’s something terribly wrong with her son.
As their marriage starts to crack, Jon struggles to support his wife, but only Saga suspects the disturbing truth about her newborn. Directed by Hanna Bergholm, the film stars Seidi Haarla, Rupert Grint, Pamela Tola, Pirkko Saisio, Rebecca Lacey, and John Thomson.
The Last Drive-In with Joe Bob Briggs (Shudder Original Special) – New Special Premieres Friday, July 10 (Available in the US and CA)
The legendary horror host is turning up the heat for Joe Bob’s Savage Summer! Together with Darcy the Mail Girl and a few special guests, Joe Bob hosts a summer screening of two titans of transgressive cinema, including an infamous “Video Nasty” that he’s never been allowed to host – until now.
