VU Custom, an end-to-end product-customization software platform for consumer product brands, announced the acquisition of YR ID, a software company that powers online, retail, and live product-customization experiences for global brands. The deal combines two complementary businesses focused on meeting growing demand for customization infrastructure across industries, sales channels, and production environments.
VU Custom provides software that enables brands to manage the full customization process, from front-end product visualization and administration to order fulfillment and factory delivery. Its customer roster includes brands such as Bauer Hockey, Vera Bradley, New Balance, and BrüMate.
YR ID brings enterprise-level customization expertise in fashion, sportswear, and consumer products. Its customers include EssilorLuxottica and Ralph Lauren, with capabilities spanning ecommerce, retail, and live-event environments.
The acquisition is expected to strengthen both companies’ market positions by combining complementary customer bases, enterprise customization capabilities, and expertise across both digital and physical channels.
Colin Woolford will continue serving as CEO of the combined organization, while Tim Williams will remain Head of the YR ID business unit. Both VU Custom and YR ID will continue operating as independent business units within the broader VU Custom organization, providing continuity for customers, employees, and partners.
Bradley served as legal counsel on the transaction. Financial terms were not disclosed.
