Both the Prime Minister and French President Emmanuel Macron focused on themes of trust and cooperation in technology. “I earnestly invite every investor, every university, every research institution, and every entrepreneur …come to India… design in India. Develop in India. And create solutions for the world,” he said.

The Mumbai-bound vessel, MV Jabal Ali, is learnt to be a cargo ship.

In a significant move aimed at modernising military traditions and reinforcing an indigenous identity, the Indian Army has introduced Army Uniforms–2026, a revised dress regulations pamphlet that progressively removes residual colonial-era practices, terminology and non-essential accoutrements. The new policy reflects the Army’s effort to align its dress regulations with contemporary Indian values while maintaining the service’s rich traditions and professional standards.
Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Sunday (June 14, 2026) said fluctuations in the rupee against the U.S. dollar are driven by multiple global and domestic factors, including geopolitical uncertainties, foreign capital movements and India’s import dependence on crude oil, fertilisers and gold. She underlined that the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) intervenes only to curb excessive volatility and not to maintain a fixed exchange rate.
Israel said its military attacked Hezbollah targets in Beirut’s southern suburbs on Sunday (June 14, 2026) after the Lebanese armed group fired into Israeli territory. Rebellion in Trinamool Congress is set to boost NDA numbers in Parliament as it strives for a two-thirds majority in both Houses to help pass crucial Constitutional Amendment Bills. While the current round of Rajya Sabha elections will help the NDA inch toward the two-thirds mark, in the Lok Sabha, it is still far from that magic figure of 263, despite the TMC switchover.
