Release includes updates to Structures, Structural Designer, Tedds and PowerFab to link models, drawings and shop-floor data.
Trimble introduced the Tekla software version 2026 for building information modeling (BIM), structural engineering and steel fabrication management, with workflow updates intended to improve data sharing between design and construction. The release is designed to support the design-to-detailing process by reducing manual work and rework, while allowing users to handle more complex tasks without having to move as often between separate applications.
The 2026 portfolio, which includes Tekla Structures, Tekla Structural Designer, Tekla Tedds and Tekla PowerFab, is designed to improve data sharing across projects. The software supports connected workflows among stakeholders by linking project information across models, drawings and field data. Users can view project status in 3D models, synchronize data across connected workflows, and access updated information across the office, shop and site.
Trimble Assistant is built into the Tekla portfolio. It is intended to help new and existing users find features and troubleshoot issues without leaving the software. Tekla Structures also includes a preview feature from Trimble Labs called AI Model and Drawing Assistant, which supports some modeling operations through natural language prompts.
The portfolio combines AI-based tools, automated workflows and connected project data through a range of updates across the 2026 release.
