The Third Technical Hindi Symposium, Takniki Hindi Sangoshthi “Abhyuday-3”, concluded at Indian Institute of Technology Indore with a strong emphasis on promoting Technical Hindi and enhancing science communication for wider public outreach. The two-day national-level event brought together scientists, academicians, technologists, and communicators committed to strengthening the link between science, technology, and society through the Hindi language.
The symposium was jointly organised by Indian Institute of Technology Indore, Indian Institute of Technology Jodhpur, and the CSIR–National Institute of Science Communication and Policy Research. The central objective was to promote the use of Hindi in technical and scientific domains and to ensure that research outcomes and innovations are accessible to non-English-speaking sections of society.
During the inaugural session, the symposium souvenir and other academic publications were released. The Director of IIT Indore highlighted the importance of Technical Hindi in democratising knowledge. Emphasis was laid on effective science communication as a tool to bridge the gap between laboratories and society, and to connect research and innovation with everyday life.
Shri C. B. Singh, Chief Scientist, CSIR-NIScPR, underlined the sustained efforts towards developing Technical Hindi in India. He stressed the role of communication in taking scientific research to broader sections of society. He highlighted the long-standing contribution of CSIR-NIScPR through publications such as the Hindi popular science magazine “Vigyan Pragati”, published continuously since 1952, which has played a crucial role in disseminating scientific knowledge in Hindi.
The symposium featured invited lectures on science, engineering, digital technologies, and innovation. Two technical paper presentation sessions were held, with 25 participants presenting their research in Hindi. A cultural evening included a folk song performance by Padma Shri Bhehru Singh Chauhan, followed by a Vigyan Kavi Sammelan chaired by renowned writer and science communicator Shri Santosh Choubey. Science mentalist Shri Harish Yadav captivated audiences with an engaging science magic show. The symposium concluded on 6 January 2026 with invited lectures and a valedictory session.
