A Taylor Sheridan favorite takes the lead in an original action thriller that smashes together the genre classics Rambo and Taken to create an all-new explosive war epic. Special Ops: Lioness star LaMonica Garrett takes the lead as an elite soldier forced back into the fray after someone close to him is taken hostage in war-torn Ukraine, unleashing his particular set of skills as he battles his way to save her.
Alongside a new clip from the action thriller Man of War, which you can check out below, the first reviews have also started to emerge ahead of its digital streaming release, with one reaction hailing it as nothing less than “One of the Best Action Movies of the Year!”
Man of War stars LaMonica Garrett (Lioness, 1883, The Terminal List) as an elite American Special Forces veteran. Against the backdrop of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, the mission becomes deeply personal when his adopted daughter, an aid worker, is held hostage by Russian mercenaries. Forced to navigate a brutal landscape of fire and betrayal, he must risk everything on this high-stakes rescue mission.
