How many times do you think I can get away with saying Spider-Man in this post? You know, for maximum SEO points? Let’s give it a shot:
The upcoming Avengers: Doomsday is rumored to be a sort of soft reset for the MCU. Good thing too, since catching up on ten million movies and TV shows becomes a more and more daunting prospect for new audiences every year. Even so, there’s apparently still time for Tom Holland’s Spider-Man to have one actual Spider-Man adventure after a three-movie-long origin story. And several Avengers appearances. And bringing in the last two Spider-Men just to hype up this one.
Can this Spider-Man finally escape the shackles of nostalgia bait and MCU cameos to stand on his own two feet at long last? Punisher, Hulk and Jean Grey being all over the trailer for Spider-Man: Brand New Day would seem to indicate no.
Still looks like a good time, though!
