This afternoon and evening, isolated storms are possible in the OKC metro with a 20% chance. Highest chances in western and northern Oklahoma this evening.
Jet stream winds are not incredibly strong, but instability is high enough that storms could be severe with hail larger than quarters and winds over 60 mph.
Friday night, lows will drop into the 60s and 70s with rain and storms moving off to the northeast.
Tomorrow will be a hot one with near record highs.
Game 7 of the NBA finals is in OKC, and if you are headed to Thunder Up in the Park on Saturday, plan for a hot afternoon. There is a slight chance for storms, but most of the day in OKC looks dry.
Storms will try to develop Saturday east of the dryline. These will move east and should weaken as they approach I-35.
Storms will be capable of producing large hail and damaging winds. The tornado threat isn’t zero, but it is very low.
Sunday is a hotter day, and looks rain-free. Hit the pools!
Humidity sticks around despite the lack of rain chances. That will cause heat indices to sit in the upper 90s to low triple digits Sunday afternoon.
