A part of Route 30 in Westmoreland County was closed after officials said a large tree caused damage to multiple power lines Monday night.

Dryridge VFD said in a post that eastbound Route 30 is closed between Frye Farm Road & Village Drive (Mountainview) due to a downed tree and wires.
“Please use alternative routes & avoid the area if possible for the next few hours,” the post said.
As of 10 p.m., West Penn Power said all power in the area had been restored.
According to 511PA, PennDOT’s traffic monitoring website, the road had reopened.
