MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) –
Temperatures will not be as hot this Friday afternoon due to the cloud coverage and a cold front that will move through the Mid-South. Behind the cold front, unfortunately dewpoints will not drop, but it will give way to partly cloudy conditions overnight. Highs this afternoon with be in the mid 80s with a breeze from the southwest and humid conditions.
Tonight, lows will only fall gradually into the mid 70s with a partly cloudy sky overhead. It will remain mostly dry although humidity will continue.
Saturday will be a few degrees warming as highs head into the upper 80s. With the humidity sticking around the high will feel more like the mid 90s. The sunshine will peek through most of the day with a partly cloudy sky. While most of the day will be dry, our northwestern counties have a 1/5 risk for severe storms. The threat is low and most of the area will remain dry for you to be able to go outside.
The Extended Forecast brings more rain and storms on Sunday and Monday. Highs will remain in the 80s. A pop-up storm is possible with periods of heavy downpours. Luckily, it will not be a washout. Rain chances decrease into the work week with highs in the mid 80s and lows overnight falling into the 60s.
