Just as we moaned about the lack of a new PS Portal system software update in our previous article, Sony surprised us. Coming later tonight (March 18 in some regions) is new PS Portal firmware 7.0.0 that brings much-needed improvements to its Remote Play and Cloud Streaming features.
Here’s what the update brings, per the PS Blog:
In addition to the above, PS Portal users will now be able to create a PSN account or sign into an existing account by simply scanning a QR code displayed on the remote player with a mobile device.
