Police identify woman killed in North Omaha shooting – WOWT

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – Police have identified the woman killed in a shooting in North Omaha early Saturday morning.
Omaha Police told First Alert 6 the woman killed in the shooting has been identified as 28-year-old Jamise Thompson.
Around 3:30 a.m. Saturday, officers responded to the scene near 24th and Lake, where they found Thompson suffering from a gunshot wound.
Thompson was taken to the hospital with life-saving measures in progress, but she died at the hospital, according to OPD.
Around the same time that morning, another shooting victim, a 16-year-old boy, was found near Florence Boulevard and Lake Street. He was rushed to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
