New firmware for the Hue Bridge
Note: Article contains affiliate links. What’s that?
A few days ago, Philips Hue released new firmware for the Hue Bridge. From software version 1969060020, the control center goes to version number 1969152010. Apparently, there are no major innovations on board, the manufacturer only writes: “Improved performance and reliability of the system.”
I could imagine that preparations are being made in the background for smoke detector sound recognition. This should enable Hue Secure cameras to recognize the warning signal from conventional smoke detectors. In the event of an alarm, there is not only a warning message on the smartphone, but also emergency lighting. This can be used to automatically set all Philips Hue colored lamps and lights to red lighting, which improves visibility in the event of smoke.
If you notice any specific changes in the course of the Bridge update to version 1969152010, please let me know in the comments.
