Welcome back to your weekly roundup of everything new on Netflix US! As we settle into the middle of June, Netflix has delivered another healthy batch of weekend viewing options, although it’s nowhere close to the 100+ new arrivals we saw last week. In total, 30 new releases (16 movies and 14 series) have touched down on the platform over the past seven days. Below, we’ll pick out our favorite new additions and break down what’s been dominating the Netflix Top 10 charts.
Whether you’re looking for prestige Oscar-winning cinema, returning comfort-watch favorites, or some visually stunning family programming, this week’s lineup has plenty to keep your queue full.
Before we dive into the data to see what subscribers have actually been watching, let’s take a look at our three streaming highlights for the week:
Type: Movie
Genre: Comedy, Drama, Music | Runtime: 1h 43m
Making its streaming debut this week is Song Sung Blue, a wonderfully heartwarming and bittersweet musical drama. Based on a true story (and the 2008 documentary of the same name), the film stars Hugh Jackman and Kate Hudson as a down-on-their-luck married couple who decide to form a Neil Diamond tribute band. It’s an incredibly endearing underdog story packed with great music, lots of heart, and two powerhouse lead performances that earned massive critical praise upon release.
I Am Frankelda (2025)
Type: Movie
Genre: Animation, Fantasy, Family | Runtime: 1h 28m
If you are a fan of Coraline or The Nightmare Before Christmas, you absolutely cannot miss this visually spectacular Spanish-language stop-motion animated feature. Originating from Mexico’s brilliant Cinema Fantasma studio and a talented brother director duo (read our interview here), this slightly spooky, incredibly imaginative film follows Frankelda, a ghost writer (literally) who crafts delightfully eerie tales. It’s a gorgeous labor of love that balances PG-friendly frights with an immense amount of heart.
Type: TV Series
Genre: Drama, Romance
Pour the margaritas, because the ladies of Serenity are finally back! One of Netflix’s most reliable and beloved comfort watches returns for its fifth season, promising more Southern charm, small-town gossip, and complex relationship drama for Maddie, Helen, and Dana Sue (with the added bonus of a brief trip to New York City). If you’ve been waiting for a cozy weekend binge, your plans are officially sorted.

Now, let’s look at what’s been dominating the charts over the past seven days.
Over on the Movies list, the Netflix Original rom-com Office Romance has stormed its way to the #1 spot, securing a very comfortable lead with 79 points. Action fans are also making their presence known, boosting Pierce Brosnan’s pulpy thriller Fast Charlie up to the #2 spot (65 points). Meanwhile, the bizarre staying power of Bee Movie continues, holding strong at #3 (49 points). We are also seeing a few of this week’s new additions make immediate splashes, with the George Clooney/Julia Roberts rom-com Ticket to Paradise debuting at #7 and the gritty Polish thriller Colors Of Evil: Black entering at #9.
On the TV Series charts, true crime and docuseries continue to hold a vice grip on subscriber attention. Michael Jackson: The Verdict has taken the #1 crown with 79 points, closely followed by the gripping limited series The Witness at #2 (69 points). Last week’s champion, The Four Seasons, has slipped down to #3 but remains a heavy hitter with 50 points.
Further down the chart, the controversial new comedy special Tony Hinchcliffe: Man of the People had a solid debut at #6 (24 points). It’s also clear that subscribers are eager for fresh reality and drama content, as the brand-new Outlast: The Jungle (#8) and our highlight Sweet Magnolias (#9) both managed to crack the top 10 within just days of being added to the platform.
