Milania Giudice is speaking out about her legal troubles.
After Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice’s daughter was arrested for assault May 14, the 20-year-old broke her silence on the ordeal, taking a moment to dispel rumors her glamourous mugshot was created with artificial intelligence.
“That mug shot of me, you guys really believe that's AI?” Milania said in a June 28 TikTok video. “I ate down in my mug shot. I looked fire. I mean, nothing to be proud of, but I'm being sure of that.”
Though she was arrested in mid-May following an incident in Montville, New Jersey, the news became public knowledge nearly three weeks later. As for how Milania—the third of Teresa and ex Joe Giudice’s four daughters—feels about the arrest more than a month after the alleged incident?
“I mean, it is what it is,” she said. “S–t happens in life, and it is what it is. You got to learn from it, just become a better person, and talk about it, and I just was not in a good area in my life.”
And before Housewives fans put in their two cents over the situation, Milania wants them to know what’s been seen of her onscreen isn’t reflective of what happens offscreen.
“I've been through a lot in life, and some other stuff happened to me,” she explained. “Like, just because you guys think you know everything that happens in my life, you just really don't.”
Following the news of Milania’s arrest, authorities spoke out about the apparent altercation that led to her being taken into custody.
"The Montville Township Police Department received a report of a dispute at a residence in town," Police Chief Andrew Caggiano said in a statement obtained by E! News June 11. "The investigation resulted in Milania Giudice being charged on a summons complaint with one count of Simple Assault.”
Police confirmed she was released pending her next court appearance.
"A criminal complaint is merely an accusation," the statement noted. "Despite this accusation, the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until she has been proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law."
E! News previously reached out to a rep for Milania but did not hear back.
Though the University of Tampa student only recently addressed her arrest head-on, she shared a cryptic message on social media one day after news broke of her legal woes.
“None of us sit high enough to look down on anybody,” read the message reshared to her June 12 Instagram Story. “Be humble.”
