LSEF donates AI Tech centre to Catholic school in Imo – Realnews Magazine

THE Leo Stan Ekeh Foundation (LSEF) says it has donated an Artificial Intelligence (AI) Tech Centre to Holy Ghost College, a Catholic school in Owerri to promote digital learning and technology skills.
The foundation said in a statement that it unveiled the facility during activities marking the school’s 77th anniversary celebration on Saturday.
Commenting, Mr Leo Stan Ekeh, Founder of the foundation and an alumnus of the college, said the project was aimed at promoting digital learning.
He said the centre was equipped with integrated computers, solar-powered electricity and high-speed internet connectivity.
According to him, the facility will help students acquire digital skills required to compete in the global economy.
“It is my prayer that this centre will produce Nigeria’s next generation of tech-driven billionaires who can create wealth and transform lives,” he said.
Ekeh said plans are underway to transform the centre into a certified training hub for global technology brands.
He added that the foundation had executed similar technology-driven educational interventions in over 123 institutions nationwide.
The Catholic Archbishop of Owerri, Rev. Lucius Ugorji, commended the initiative and described it as a noble contribution to education.
“Take ownership of this centre, preserve it and use it to become experts in ICT and responsible leaders of tomorrow,” he advised students.
The Principal of Holy Ghost College, Rev. Samuel Agu, described the facility as a transformative investment in the students’ future.
Agu said the facility would expand students’ access to technology and strengthen the school’s capacity to prepare learners for opportunities in a rapidly evolving digital world. (NAN
