Iran’s team arrived in the U.S. less than 18 hours before its scoreless FIFA World Cup game against Belgium on Sunday, Iran coach Amir Ghalenoei said. As a result, the team had to cut its training in half.
Ghalenoei blasted the treatment of his team as Iran announced over the weekend it will once again close the Strait of Hormuz. The closure threatens to further unravel negotiations between Iran and the Trump administration.
