Faridabad is set for a major transformation with the Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC) unveiling plans for a 190-acre ‘Aero & Entertainment Global Commercial City’ in Sector 66. Here’s how the project will transform NCR’s leisure and real estate landscape.
What is the Aero Entertainment City project in Faridabad?
The proposed development is a 190-acre integrated commercial and entertainment hub planned in Sector 66 of Institute of Management & Technology (IMT), Faridabad. Envisioned as a world-class destination, the project will combine retail, hospitality and large-scale entertainment infrastructure.
It will feature theme parks, amusement zones, water parks, multiplexes and family entertainment centres. Alongside these, high-street retail, luxury hotels, resorts, serviced apartments, dharamshalas and tourist accommodations are also planned to cater to diverse visitor segments.
Why is the project significant for Faridabad?
The project is being positioned as a game-changer for Faridabad, aiming to elevate the city from an industrial base to a leisure and commercial hotspot within the NCR.
Officials say it could rival Gurugram’s Cyber Hub by offering a structured, modern destination that integrates entertainment with business activity. The move reflects a broader push to bring “balanced development” across Haryana and reduce over-dependence on Gurugram for commercial infrastructure.
It is also expected to generate employment, boost tourism and enhance Faridabad’s brand value in the NCR.

Connectivity is central to the project’s success. The upcoming Noida International Airport (Jewar) is a key driver, with a 31-km greenfield expressway set to link Faridabad directly to the airport. This will reduce travel time to around 20 minutes, significantly improving accessibility for both domestic and international visitors.
Improved regional connectivity is likely to position the Aero City as a strategic hospitality and logistics hub, attracting businesses, tourists and investors.
