Scotland’s first World Cup since 1998, the party atmosphere – despite the VISA issues of some fans – is in full swing as fans arrive in Boston for their first game of the tournament against Haiti.
Kenny McLean’s goal against Denmark in the final qualifier sent those fans at Hampden Park into dreamland and they will be hoping Boston Stadium can be a similar Mecca.
A big Scot win – and another Scott McTominay bicycle kick to boot – against the international minnows would likely see Steve Clarke’s side progress from Group C to the round of 32 before they face heavy-hitters Brazil and Morocco.
Haiti qualified automatically from their CONCACAF group and are at their first World Cup since 1974, but didn’t make it out the group and lost all three group games to Italy, Poland and 2022 champions Argentina. Scotland, realistically, stand in their way of going one better.
Sunderland forward Wilson Isidor needs to bag the goals for the Haitians, while Wolves midfielder Jean-Ricner Bellegarde must provide some steel to the second-lowest-ranked side at the 2026 World Cup.
Haiti vs Scotland is scheduled for a 2am BST kick-off on Sunday 3rd June, 2026.
The match will take place at Boston Stadium, Massachusetts.
TV channel: In the UK, the game will be televised live on BBC One, with coverage starting at 1.10am BST on Sunday morning.

Haiti have no current injury concerns, but after seeing fellow Group C Morocco opponents suffer two tournament-ending injuries to players, will hope key men Bellegarde and Isidor remain fit and healthy.
Goalkeeper Johny Placide is a figurehead for the Haitians, but will be lucky to keep a clean sheet at this tournament.

Haiti’s recent 4-0 win over New Zealand may have sent shivers down Scotland’s spine, but a 2-1 loss to Peru will assuage any Scottish fears of an upset.
