Garmin releases new improvements to multiple smartwatches with latest update – Notebookcheck

Garmin has issued a new update to a swathe of mid-range smartwatches. Specifically, the company has released Beta 17.25 and Beta Version 17.25, which replace Beta 17.19 and Beta Version 17.19 on the Venu X1, Vivoactive 6, Forerunner 570 and Forerunner 970 (curr. $649 on Amazon).
As usual, Garmin has included a core set of improvements across all eligible smartwatches. However, two are specific to the Forerunner 970 and Venu X1. On the one hand, v17.25 resolves a crash that could occur when opening the map app after using an Approach Z10 or Approach Z30. On the other hand, Garmin claims to have fixed a separate issue that caused the Venu X1 or Forerunner 970 to exit the map page during a route recalculation.
Moreover, all four smartwatches have received over a dozen bug fixes, as well as unspecified updated translations. Incidentally, the beta build arrives in the wake of a Forerunner 170-related leak, full details of which we have covered separately. Please see Garmin’s Venu X1, Vivoactive 6, Forerunner 570 and Forerunner 970 forum posts for more details. Garmin’s shared v17.25 changelog is as follows:
