INDIANA (WEVV) — Communities across the region are getting a head start on Independence Day festivities today with multiple events planned. 
Residents and families are invited to celebrate the holiday spirit at the Fourth of July Festival at Newburgh Health and Rehab from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
The evening will feature a festive mix of activities designed for all ages, including:
There is another celebration at Hamilton Pointe Health and Rehabilitation Center, where a Fourth of July begins at 6:30 p.m. 
Just a short drive away, the city of Jasper will host a larger community celebration as part of the Heart of Jasper Downtown Chowdown series.
The Patriotic Park Party runs from 5:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Thursday, July 2, at Jasper Riverwalk Plaza and Jaycee Park.
Admission to the park festivities is free, and organizers encourage families to bring chairs, blankets, and friends to enjoy one of Jasper’s most popular summer traditions.
