DS Group has announced plans to launch Marriott International’s W Hotels brand in Delhi NCR, marking the brand’s entry into the region and its second property in India after Goa.
The company will invest around ₹400 crore in the project, which will feature 200 rooms and is scheduled to open in the second half of 2027. The hotel will be located near Indira Gandhi International Airport, close to Delhi’s Aerocity hospitality district.
The project is part of DS Group’s broader expansion plans in the hospitality sector. The company said it aims to increase its presence in the segment and is targeting a portfolio of 10 to 12 hotels by FY29.
According to DS Group, the decision to bring the W Hotels brand to Delhi NCR is driven by growing demand for premium accommodation in the airport corridor, which has emerged as one of the capital region’s key hospitality hubs for both business and leisure travellers.
The upcoming property will operate under Marriott International’s lifestyle-focused W Hotels brand, which has a presence in several global markets. The Delhi NCR hotel is expected to include branded social and dining spaces that are part of the W Hotels format.

The development comes as hotel operators and property owners continue to expand in India’s premium hospitality segment, supported by rising travel demand and limited supply in several urban markets.
DS Group currently operates six hospitality properties across India, including hotels in Nainital, Jim Corbett, Guwahati, Jaipur, Bengaluru and Kolkata. The company has also outlined plans to invest ₹1,000 crore in its hospitality business over the next few years and intends to double its room inventory by 2029.
For Marriott International, the signing adds another property to its growing India portfolio and extends the presence of the W Hotels brand in the country beyond Goa.
