Delhi Cabinet has launched its electric vehicle policy 2.0 offering zero road tax, direct subsidies up to ₹1 lakh, and 30,000 new charging points to accelerate the city’s shift away from petrol and diesel vehicles by 2030. Delhi Government – excellent move … but please understand that from ICE to EV is a transition and STRONG HYBRIDS are the ideal technology to step into that transition .. else the load on EV infrastructure will make it difficult to sustain, causing chaos and poor experience of this huge transition. In this context, incentivise people to buy Strong Hybrid by waving off life time road tax like Government of Uttar Pradesh had already done – irrespective of the price of the vehicle – do not have ceiling – because, generally more expensive vehicles have lower mileage and hence more pressure on non-renewable resources.
