Hyderabad: Telangana health minister Damodar Rajanarasimha will attend the 16th Central Council of Health and Family Welfare (CCHFW) meeting in New Delhi on Monday.
The meeting, chaired by Union health minister J.P. Nadda, will bring together health ministers from all states and Union Territories to discuss key issues concerning the country’s healthcare sector.
The council is expected to deliberate on strengthening public healthcare services, implementation of national health programmes, expansion of digital health initiatives and World Bank funds.
The meeting will provide a platform for the Centre and states to exchange views and coordinate on policies aimed at improving healthcare delivery and public health outcomes.
Rajanarasimha is expected to raise issues concerning Telangana’s interests and seek the Centre’s support on matters related to the state’s health sector. He will also press for approval of the state’s proposal to enhance 110 UG seats and 465 PG seats.
