Cincinnati police say that a man is dead after a shooting occurred in the Villages at Roll Hill Saturday night.
According to CPD, officers responded at approximately 9 p.m. for a report of a person who had been shot at the 2400 block of Nottingham Road.
When first responders arrived, they are said to have found a victim with a gunshot wound at the scene.
EMS personnel then immediately proceeded to perform life-saving measures on the man. However, despite their efforts, he was pronounced dead a short time later.
The shooting victim has since been identified by police as 25-year-old Mikal Smith.
CPD did not immediately have any information to share about a possible suspect in the case.
The investigation into the incident remains ongoing by officers.
