
City of Fenton Seeks Applications to Fill City Council Vacancy

Fenton, MI – The City of Fenton is accepting applications to fill an upcoming City Council vacancy. Councilperson David McDermott has announced that he will be resigning from City Council effective July 14, 2026. Applications are due by noon on July 10.
According to the City of Fenton:

Only applications on the City of Fenton form provided will be considered for the vacancy.
To be eligible for this position, you must be a qualified elector of the City of Fenton and be registered to vote. This means you must be at least eighteen (18) years of age, a U.S. citizen, and have lived in the City of Fenton for at least thirty (30) days.
