SAN ANTONIO – An officer-involved shooting has prompted a large police response and a standoff on the North Side.
The shooting happened around Red Hawk Ridge near Hardy Oak Boulevard.
First responders are reporting they've taken one person to the hospital. According to a source familiar with the situation, an officer was hospitalized with a non-life-threatening wound.
SWAT units are on scene, surrounding a home where police believe the suspect is barricaded inside.
A police drone was seen flying around the scene, as well as small remote vehicles.
Police Chief William McManus is on the way and is expected to give an update on what led up to the shooting.
