Bergen Carbon Solutions AS announced that it has received a notification of intention to grant from the Norwegian Industrial Property Office (NIPO) for a patent application related to its CO2 separation technology. The patent application (PCT/NO2025/050020), titled ?Method and Apparatus for Purification and Separation of Solid-State Carbon-Containing Material?, covers key aspects of the Company?s proprietary process for purification and handling of carbon-containing materials derived from CO2. The notification of intention to grant reflects that the application has fulfilled the substantive patentability requirements, including novelty and inventive step, subject to final formalities.
The Company will continue to pursue patent protection in relevant jurisdictions in line with its intellectual property strategy.
