BEEVILLE, Tx – A man in Beeville is facing a capital murder charge after the death of an infant.
Beeville police responded earlier today to an incident involving the child in the 1000 block of E. Widhelm Street. The child was later pronounced dead.
Detectives, along with the Texas Rangers, then began investigating. The child’s father was later arrested on an unrelated felony charge and also charged with resisting arrest.
During the investigation, an arrest warrant was issued charging the father with capital murder of a person younger than 10 years of age.
At this time, Beeville police are not releasing names as the investigation remains active and ongoing.
