The Pinkfong Company is bringing generative AI to one of children’s entertainment’s most recognizable brands with the launch of Baby Shark The Experience: Unlock the Secret Ocean, a new immersive exhibition opening June 18 in Seoul.
Set for Dongdaemun Design Plaza, the AI-powered attraction blends live character interaction with personalized storytelling, giving visitors a chance to step directly into the Baby Shark universe through a series of tech-driven experiences. Early-bird tickets are on sale now through official ticketing platforms, with limited-time discounts of up to 50%.
Spanning roughly 18,000 square feet, the exhibition will feature about 20 interactive installations designed to recreate an underwater-inspired world. Guests will be able to engage with Baby Shark characters in real time, with the experience responding dynamically to voices, facial expressions, and movement.
According to The Pinkfong Company, the exhibition uses a mix of large language models, speech recognition, voice synthesis, and computer vision to power those live interactions. The result is an experience that aims to move beyond passive entertainment and into AI-driven storytelling tailored to each visitor.
One of the marquee features will allow attendees to create their own version of the viral Baby Shark song through an AI music experience, adding a customizable and creative element to the attraction. The exhibition will also support English, Chinese, Japanese, and Korean, broadening its appeal for international visitors.
The new project reflects a growing push to bring generative AI into live entertainment and location-based experiences, especially through globally recognized IP. For Pinkfong, it also marks another expansion of the Baby Shark brand beyond digital content and touring productions into interactive, technology-forward attractions.
“By combining AI technology with character storytelling, this project introduces a new kind of interactive entertainment experience,” Gemma Joo, chief business officer at The Pinkfong Company, said in a press release. “We hope it offers audiences of all ages a glimpse into how AI can create more immersive and emotionally engaging ways to experience beloved characters.”
Best known as the company behind the global Baby Shark phenomenon, The Pinkfong Company has continued to expand its portfolio across animation, live tours, games, and other family-focused experiences. With Unlock the Secret Ocean, the company is betting that AI-powered immersion could be the next frontier for fan engagement.
